The Department of African and African-American Studies will screen From a Whisper during its 2nd Annual African Food & Film Festival. This film, directed by African Movie Academy Award winner Wanuri Kahui, is based on events surrounding the 1988 bomb attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi. A delectable selection of East African cuisine will accompany this screening, which will be followed by a discussion.
