Data Hackathon: Digital Optimism in the Age of Trump

February 6 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

Presented by Dr. Dhanashree Thorat from the Institute for Digital Research in the Humanities and Germaine Halegoua from Film and Media Studies.

This hackathon dives deep into an exploration on data, ethics, and social justice. Participants will work in teams to analyze and visualize data sets related to political activism in the United States. Data sets may draw on geospatial, social media, and statistical data.

This event is organized in conjunction with Walter Mosley’s visit to KU as part of the Hall Center’s Humanities Lecture Series.

The event will take place in Watson 410A (DH Studio). We hope to see you there.
