Clear, Concise, Compelling: Communicating Effectively in Funding Applications and Beyond
The default writing style of academia is ill suited to funding proposals.  In order to succeed, scholars must diversify their skill set and adapt to this very different genre.  In this workshop we’ll compare academic writing to proposal writing and discuss some common pitfalls and ways to avoid them.  Activities will include interactive practice of techniques useful to any scholar looking to communicate more effectively to broader audiences

  • For Graduate Students: Thursday, February 28, 2019, 12:00-1:00
