International African Writers Day Seminar: Uzodinma Iweala

The African and Caribbean Student Association presents a lecture by Dr. Uzodinma Iweala, author of Beasts of No Nation, a critically-acclaimed book that has been adapted to a Netflix movie. A panel discussion will follow the lecture. Panelists include: James Yeku, Assistant Professor in the Dept. of African and African- American Studies​ and the Institute for Digital Research in the Humanities, Byron Santangelo, Associate Professor in the Dept. of English, and Sarah Ngoh, Lecturer in the Dept. of English. Organized by African and Caribbean Student Association at KU. Co-sponsored by the Department of English, Museum Studies Program, Department of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Kansas African Studies Center, Center for Global & International Studies, and KU Libraries. This event is free and open to the public.
